Contemporary Persian Dance - Beginning-Intermediate Explore Persian dance, music, and expression with a focus on the classical, lyrical style of Persian Dance. Learn technique foundational to all Persian Dance. This includes hand & body positions, traveling movements, and basic spins in a supportive and safe environment. Technique will be put together into emotive and fun combinations to show the essence of Contemporary Persian Dance.

Teacher: Natalie Nayun Assistant Artistic Director of Ballet Afsaneh Natalie is an international teacher and performer specializing in contemporary and folkloric styles from Central Asia and the Middle East. She founded international online dance school Pomegranate Garden Dance featuring teachers and students from all over the world. These styles include Persian, Afghan, Tajik, Uzbek dance and more! She has been dancing for over 20 years and teaching for over 15 years. Sign up for her in-person classes through Ballet Afsaneh and her online classes through Pomegranate Garden Dance. Natalie has received numerous grants & awards to study dance and conduct research in Uzbekistan & Tajikistan. She is a passionate teacher and a lifelong student. Her hope is to share the beauty in these regions of the world through dance!
