Mulu "Queen Mega" Senshaw is a dancer from Washington, DC, by way of Ethiopia! She joined Diamano Coura in 2016 and has been training and performing with the company throughout the Bay Area and more recently, in Senegal, West Africa. She earned her BA in Dance from San Francisco State University in 2020 which includes studying abroad at Edna Manley College in Kingston, Jamaica. She has performed at events and festivals such as Dance Africa DC, Dance Africa Philadelphia, Collage des Cultures Africaines, and Oakland First Fridays. Mulu has been a full-time elementary school dance teacher and has been teaching after school West African dance classes for 2 years. Mulu also teaches a pop-up choreography class called Afro-Caribbean Fusion that pulls from African and Caribbean popular and traditional dances forms and is danced to soca music!
