OUR STORY

Mix’d Ingrdnts is a multi-ethnic, multi-genre dance collective composed of female-identified artists, who work together with the intent to contribute to the impact of social change. The company does this through urban performance, dance education and connection, while cultivating a stronger community of artists of all ages and mediums, through process workshopping and mentorship. Mix’d Ingrdnts Dance Company was established in 2010 and exists to empower women to express themselves. The company also aims to empower youth through dance knowledge, life skills, conversation, and movement in order to positively impact their lives, so that they can impact others and their communities. Mix'd Ingrdnts connects with communities through forums, school assemblies, festivals, large curated occassions, and various events around the Bay Area that promote social change and/or entertains the community. Mix'd Ingrdnts has opened and closed Amy Poehler's set at Clusterfest 2019, and were a featured segment on Harry Connick Jr.'s The Harry Show in New York. Mix'd Ingrdnts was commissioned to perform at the iconic Stern Grove Festival, on the bill with Hieroglyphics and Goapele, and performed at the 2016 Super Bowl 50 events stage.
